I’m not wanting to be the one to burst anyone’s bubble about the toxicity of commercial microwavable popcorn bags, but there’s plenty of information out there, so people can make their own choice. This is a wonderful recipe and a very ingenious idea. The suggestions of what you can put on the popcorn are awesome too! You can try brown sugar for a caramelized corn flavor, salt, butter, or what I really like to do is to add all three and get a lovely sweet and salty vibe going.
Ingredients For Homemade Popcorn Bags:
- 1/3 cup of yellow popcorn kernels
- 1 tablespoon of butter (or coconut oil)
- Salt (to taste)
- A small brown paper lunch bag
- You can also add 1/4 cup of brown sugar (for a caramel corn idea)
