This reminds me of the holidays because cinnamon and sweet potatoes are a healthy carb to have for your diet. Adding a bit of butter gives off a nice saltiness to the sweetness of the potato. Air fryers are so convenient to use especially if you want to cook a couple of things. It gives off a little crispiness on the outside too. This is such a simple recipe to have and make because there are no complicated steps except to season and let the air fryer do its job.
- 4 medium-sized sweet potatoes
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- Optional Toppings: Butter, Brown Sugar, Cinnamon, etc
First, wash the sweet potatoes, and then poke several times with a fork.
Next, to season the sweet potatoes, in a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients and toss until potatoes are coated. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket then close and set to 390F. Cook for 40 minutes or until potatoes is tender. If they are large sweet potatoes, it will take longer to cook.
Cut open the sweet potatoes and top with your favorite toppings such as butter and cinnamon. This specific video makes me want to eat a sweet potato on its own now because the presentation, in the end, looks delicious. I like the potatoes are seasoned on the outside because the skin will be flavorful.
