Lanterns are so cute and it adds a nice bright decor touch to the outdoors or indoors. This Dollar Tree DIY by Jody’s Craft Room on YouTube is so inexpensive and a great way to have Fall decor without having to spend so much money. Also, it would be a lovely gift to make for someone for the holidays or for a house warming. The lanterns can be designed in any way for other holidays, not just for Fall. Some Dollar Tree stores may not have these lanterns too. It’s so refreshing to find a very simple DIY to work on if you’re kind of lazy but want cute decor.
- Dollar Tree lantern
- faux leaves
- jute string
- faux acorns
- hot glue gun
First, pull out the jute string and cut off a piece to work with so it doesn’t get tangled in the roll. Then, use a hot glue gun to stick at the handle of the lantern. Wrap the jute string all the way down to its handle. Continue to watch Jody’s Craft Room tutorial on YouTube for full instructions and details.
Next, use the hot glue gun to glue on any Fall decoration pieces such as faux leaves, flowers, or acorns around the lantern.
Overall, I would definitely make these Fall lanterns to put around my back patio and front. It would be a great Fall decor to add around the house, and turning them on for a faint light. I love how the lanterns have a little flame inside which adds a vintage look to them too. Fall decor is one of my favorites things to make because there are many ways to be creative. This DIY project can easily cost less than $10.
