Oreo truffles remind me of my childhood growing up because they were always a hit when we had holiday parties or pot lucks. I didn’t realize how easy it is to make Oreo truffles. It only takes 4 ingredients to make these by The Cooking Foodie on YouTube. They are so easy to eat, and you can coat them with your favorite type of chocolate. My favorite one would be dark chocolate, but I would make a variety to cater to other people too. I think Oreo truffles are like eating a bite-sized cheesecake. There are many ways to design them such as sprinkling crushed Oreos on top or drizzling it with melted chocolate.
- 24 Oreo cookies
- 3/4 cup Cream cheese
- 7oz Milk/Dark chocolate
- 7oz White chocolate
- Chocolate sprinkles
- Crushed Oreo cookies
- White chocolate
- Milk/dark chocolate
First, place Oreo cookies in a food processor, and crush into fine crumbs. Then, add cream cheese and pulse until combined and smooth. Refrigerate the Oreo cream cheese mixture for 30 minutes.
Next, shape into 1-inch balls and place them in the freezer for 15-20 minutes. Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 20-30 seconds or in a double boiler. Dip each truffle in the melted chocolate, and transfer it to parchment paper. Continue to watch The Cooking Foodie tutorial on YouTube for full instructions and details.
Overall, Oreo truffles are so easy to make and they are kid-friendly. They can be dangerous because of the size and it’s easy to indulge a few in one sitting. I love cookies n’ cream plus chocolate so this is one of my all-time favorite bite-sized desserts. Now, that I know it’s simple to make, I can’t wait to try this out on my own.
